Brain Booster has a good and safe environment for us to play, read and learn with help and independence. Throughout my 6 years of experience at the centre, I have interacted with many fellow students and trainers and I see many familiar faces every day. The trainers are always doing almost everything in their power to help us in our work. When I was first here at Brain Booster, I was very scared and lost but Ms Pang and Mr Wang did not fail to cheer me up. Soon, I mustered up enough courage to make new friends. When I was in Primary 6, I realised that I was receiving more work than usual and I struggled to cope with my school work and revision when PSLE was around the corner. The trainers gave me a lot of encouragement and motivated me to try harder. I was glad that it was all over by now and I knew my hard work paid off.
Even after my PSLE, Ms Pang continued teaching us life skills. She taught us leadership skills to guide the younger students. She also gives us the opportunity to take a peek and attempt some of the Secondary 1 work so that we do not panic about catching up when we start school. I was amazed that she went through the extra miles to find the easiest assignments to help us better.
Brain Booster planned activities, outdoor play and movies during the school holiday. They emphasize a lot on work and play, reminding us the importance of having a balance. I really enjoy my days at Brain Booster. As much as I looked forward to Secondary School, I will miss this student care, Brain Booster.
